Scientists have made glow-in-the-dark trees!

These 'bioluminescent' trees that act like fireflies can one day replace street lights! These genetically modified trees use a combination genetic material from fireflies and a luminescent bacteria to produce glowing enzymes. The scientists not only figured out how to make trees glow in the dark, but they also figured out how to make them change color!
